Robot rescue

Artificial intelligence at its best! The Rescue competition mirrors the real life use of robots that rescue people from life-threatening situations.

Primary Rescue

Robots follow a line to a designated rescue area. After negotiating an increasingly more complex path, and gathering points along the way, the robot arrives at a green coloured area to indicate the rescue one. Each robot will rescue an object from the rescue one and take it to safety. If robots gain equial numbers of points, the the robot that completes the course in the fastest time wins the competition.

Secondary Rescue

This is similar to primary rescue but the robot is given a number of extra challenges on its way to the rescue zone. The path may be blocked, or have other obstacles in the way, and then when it does arrive at the rescue zone, the robot has to locate the victim, pick it up and place it on a low platform near the edge of the rescue zone.
