There are 52 teams registered with 172 competitors for this years Auckland Regional Robocup Junior Competition coming up on Saturday the 12th of August 2017.

The doors will open at 8.30am for teams to register and commence set up / calibrate light sensors etc… before Interviews and competitions commence from 9am.
We are aiming to hold prize giving by 2.30pm, all going to schedule. Assistance in packing up on the day is expected by all schools/teams.
All competitors need to bring a Media Release Form (Compulsory one per student to be handed in at registration on the day).

Junior and Senior Theatre:
All teams competing in Junior and Senior Theatre, need to e-mail your teams music (labelled with your team name) through to fturner@albany.school.nz asap (preferably in mp3 format and cut to the desired length).
I will reply to let you know once I have your music and it always helps to bring a backup cd/memory stick on the day (just in case).
Theatre teams will be interviewed between 9:00am – 11:30am before the performances commence from 11:30am.
A Theatre MC Form needs to be handed in at sound checks by every Junior and Senior Theatre team.

Junior, Senior and Premier Rescue:
All grades will have 5 scored rounds, with the best 4 out of 5 rounds scores deciding the final placings.
Junior, Senior and Premier Rescue teams will be interviewed between 9.30am – 10:30am before their first round commences at 10:30am.
A Soccer / Rescue Interview Form needs to be handed in at your interview by each team.

Floor 1 will be used by the Junior grades and Floor 2 will be used by Senior Rescue first, followed by Premier Rescue each round.
Junior and Senior Soccer:
All teams will be interviewed at the pitch after their first game. There are 5 Junior teams and 1 Senior team entered this year.
Each team will play 4 games in a round robin draw to determine the final places (teams will also be scheduled for a friendly game against the only Senior Soccer team).
There is a play-off available in the event we have multiple teams on the same points at the conclusion of the 10 games do determine first, second and third placings. A Soccer / Rescue Interview Form needs to be handed in at your interview by each team.

Helpers Required:
I am is also looking for volunteers to assist in setting up on the Saturday morning from at 8am and then from 9am until 3pm to assist in the interviewing / judging and running of the event so if you are able/keen to assist let me know asap. No matter how big or small you can assist, it will be appreciated in ensuring in the smooth running of the competition (Car park marshal / registrations desk from 8.30 until 10:00am / being a runner / …. ). I’m happy to give you a run through if you would like to help, but have not done so before e.g. helping with Junior Rescue Interviews, Judging or both.
